The Club wood shop is currently open for our “winter hours”: Monday thru Sunday from 8 AM – 4 PM.
Located in the Kuentz Recreation Center in Sun City West, the club building has over 6,000 square feet filled with state-of-the-art woodworking power equipment and hand tools for use by members. For a review of our wood club please read this Fine Woodworking Magazine editorial.

Special Notice
8-5-23 (Saturday) – closed all day for Safety Committee updates to the shop (ie: floor paint removal, cleaning, re-taping & re-painting, etc). Soon we will send out a separate email detailing our need for a team of volunteers (some morning, some afternoon) to accomplish all the tasks.
8-16-23 thru 8-18-23 (Wednesday thru Friday) – closed 3 days for Rec Center Maintenance team to clean & maintain the dust collector system & under-floor ducts. Inspections were done earlier this year, but the complete work has not been done for several years.
After the Rec Center team has finished, we expect the shop will be very dusty, so Friday afternoon / evening, two members of our cleaning team plan to blow-down shop walls, and let the dust settle over-night.
Early Saturday morning, we’re asking for a team of 10 volunteers to do a good shop cleaning prior to re-opening Saturday at 8 AM. You can sign up starting now for any of the 10 open cleaning spots on August 19.
